LOTUS 1-2-3 RELEASE 3.1x There is no way to batch squeeze files in Lotus 1-2-3 Release 3.1x without upgrading to the complete SQZ! 2.0 package. Upgrading to SQZ! 2.0 will add the capabilities of batch squeezing, batch unsqueezing, Add-In customization, and file recovery, plus a complete product manual, and versions of SQZ! for Lotus 1-2-3 Releases 1.x, 2.x, and 3.1x. To take advantage of the low $39 upgrade price to SQZ! 2.0, please contact Symantec at (800) 441-7234. However, if you choose not to upgrade, you can speed up the process of converting .WK3 files to .W3! files by following these three steps... 1. At a DOS prompt, rename your .WK3 files to .W3! files. This will NOT squeeze the files Ä the squeezing will be done in 1-2-3. 2. Start 1-2-3 and load the SQZ.PLC Add-In. 3. Retrieve the files that you renamed in step 1 on an as-needed basis. There is no problem retrieving a .W3! file even though the file has not been compressed. When you save the file, however, SQZ! will detect that you are saving it with a .W3! extension and thus squeeze the file. If you have any questions, please contact SQZ! Technical Support. SQZ!
