As a member of the UFTN you have 3 responsibilities:
                                              
                                                 1/  To initiate as many people into the UFTN as possible.
                                                 2/  To fax material as regularly and as often as possible.
                                                 3/  To re-transmit material.

1/ To nominate new members
 To nominate a new member, you send the invitation sheet that you recieved , with your UFTN rubber stamp on it (see 'rubber stamp' sect.) to as many people as possible. When you recieve confirmation from your nominee, you send back a copy of this membership kit, together with your list of members fax numbers.

2/ To transmit original material                                                                                
You must fax one or two sheets to any one number from the list of members. Along with your one or two sheets, you must fax the page that states the number that you have chosen to fax to.  This page is called the 'hit list'.  All material must be stamped with your UFTN stamp.

3/ To re-transmit material
On receiving material, you must transmit what you have just received to any one member from the members list, adding that number to the 'hit list'.  Make sure that you do not transmit to any number already on the 'hit list'.  When you receive material from an unknown member add that number to your list of members; you must keep as complete a list of members as possible.

Rubber stamp
Use the supplied artwork to create your UFTN rubber stamp.  The stamp must  conform to dimensions indicated.  Fill in the spaces as indicated; the fax number should appear in a large typeface so it will re-transmit clearly.  Use the complete number, including country code and area code.

Your membership number is derived by counting the number of days between the start of the UFTN (30-8-90) and the date that you join.  Your stamp must apppear on all membership nominations and all of your original transmissions.

YOU MUST NOMINATE A MINIMUM OF ONCE EVERY TWO WEEKS.
YOU MUST RE-TRANSMIT AS MUCH MATERIAL AS POSSIBLE.

IN ORDER FOR THE NETWORK TO THRIVE, YOU MUST BEGIN TRANSMISSION NOW.
