GREAT NEWS! So Eric Bohlman came through again with the fix for those folks who may have had trouble trying to run the Talking Checkbook, the Talking Calendar, The electronic Addressbook, The Super Scanner, the Electronic Message Center or the BBS Hunter with expanded memory managers in their config.sys. It seems that a few machines would either not run the entire program or they would lock up in some cases. Well, it appears that the clipper compiler looks to expanded memory and tries to use it when possible. This creates a conflict and hence the problem in the few machines that have had it. Here's the fix. Type "set clipper=e000" and press enter before running the application. This tells the program compiled in clipper that there's no expanded memory available to it and it will use lower memory. that's all there is to it. So thanks Eric and while the problem has only happened in three cases out of many, it's something to keep in mind if you experience the problem.
