Note for Windows 3.0 Users **INSTALLING SMARTPAK** To use SmartPak, you must have 1-2-3 for Windows Version 1.1 installed on your computer. You need at least 800 KB of disk space available to install SmartPak. The following table shows which directories Install transfers the SmartPak files to. Substitute the path for your 1-2-3 for Windows directory if it is not C:\123W. SmartPak Install updates 123W.INI so that 1-2-3 automatically loads SmartPak every time you start 1-2-3. If you copied the SmartPak files to your computer without using Install, you must update 123W.INI if you want 1-2-3 to automatically load SmartPak. Use the Windows Notepad to add the following line to 123W.INI under the [AUTOLOAD ADDINS] heading: SMARTPAK.ADW=C:\123W\ADDINS\,0,0,0 Substitute the path for your 1-2-3 for Windows add-ins directory if it is not C:\123W\ADDINS. **REMOVING SMARTPAK** SmartPak Install updates 123W.INI so that 1-2-3 automatically loads SmartPak every time you start 1-2-3. If you do not want 1-2-3 to automatically load SmartPak at the start of every 1-2-3 session, use the Windows Notepad to add a ; (semicolon) to the beginning of the SmartPak statement under the [AUTOLOAD ADDINS] heading in 123W.INI. If you later decide you do want 1-2-3 to automatically load SmartPak, delete the ; (semicolon). **NOTE FOR WINDOWS 3.0 USERS** SmartPak Install transfers a file called COMMDLG.DLL to your 1-2-3 for Windows directory. If you are using Windows 3.0 and did not use SmartPak Install to transfer the SmartPak files to your computer, make sure COMMDLG.DLL is in one of the following places: Your 1-2-3 for Windows directory (Personal directory for node users) Your Windows directory or your Windows \SYSTEM directory In your PATH statement If COMMDLG.DLL is not in one of these places, a Windows Unrecoverable Application Error may occur when 1-2-3 tries to load SmartPak. ** NOTE ** If you are using an 80286 processor and have installed an 80287 math co-processor, the default parameter of {WGetNumber} should be in quotes. In addition, some string patterns will not be recognized by SmartFill.
