The telephone number to call for no-charge technical support for Visual Basic is (206) 646-5105. (Your phone company will bill you normal long-distance charges only.) This service covers questions on setup and installation, system requirements, product functionality, and navigating the Visual Basic environment. This service is available 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Pacific time, Monday through Friday. 2. Q. Where can I get information on fee-based technical support and programming assistance for Microsoft Visual Basic for Windows? A. Microsoft OnCall is a fee-based service that provides technical support and programming assistance. Visual Basic engineers answer questions about writing and debugging code, fine-tuning programs, error trapping and handling, creating custom controls, and calling the Windows application programming interface (API) from Visual Basic. The rate for OnCall service is $2 per minute. The telephone number for OnCall is (900) 896-9876. Your phone company will bill you for this service. If you are blocked from dialing the 900 number, you can call (206) 646-5106. A $20 fee will be charged to your credit card for each call.
