Mensa is an international society in which the sole requirement for qualification for membership is a score at or above the 98th percentile on any of a number of standard I.Q. tests. Mensa is a not-for-profit organization whose main purpose is to serve as a means of communication and assembly for its members. Qualification for membership may be determined by tests administered by Mensa, or by submission of properly certified prior evidence of qualification. Membership in American Mensa includes subscriptions to the Cleveland Area Mensa newsletter *Graffiti* and to the national *Mensa Bulletin*. These publications include puzzles, interviews, discussions of interesting issues in politics, technology, the environment, consumer issues, education, and what-have-you, plus information on local, regional, and national events and get-togethers. Mensa boasts over 150 special interest groups on a huge variety of topics, including computers (Amiga, Macintosh, and general), sexuality, investment, religion, games, animals, astrology, bodybuilding, amateur radio, education, employment, and literature. There is something here for everyone. The next testing date is Saturday, August 29, at 1:30 PM, at the Cleveland Hts.-University Hts. Library, 2345 Lee Rd. A $25 fee is involved.
