This zip file contains the following files: R_NOTES.TXT Which is the release notes for Pathworks for DOS PATCHES.TXT Which is the most current (10/92) patch kit to fix minor booboo's which occur with the product. For those of you who don't know what Pathworks is, it is a client/ server networking software available from Digital Equipment Corparation. It is far more robust than Novell Netware, and runs under a far more potent and secure operating system(s). It will run under VAX/VMS, OS/2, and Ultrix. It supports windows 3.1, and can use most NDIS compliant ethernet cards. It can also be run along with Novell (Netware Coexistance). DEC is beginning to finally get the recognition it deserves in the PC market. Just take a peek at some of the trade papers and see the reviews for the PC's. Or better yet, call your local DEC Office (800-PCBYDEC/800-DIGITAL) to check out the goodies available. I'd tell you how awesome NT and Alpha are, but their still "top-secret". Mad Mike P.S. Alpha/VMS (100MHz) autogens with feedback, shuts down and reboots in a little over 2 minutes, very nicely if I do say so.
