Dale spent his early childhood in Utica NY.  He worked for US Steel during one war and also served in the Navy.  He married Edna in Portland NY while working for Welchs grape juice company.  He also taught drivers education in the local high schools.  
     Dale and Edna lived to Lincoln Nebraska for several years before moving to Westfield NY. Jane and John  were born in Westfield.  The family then moved to Detroit MI where Dale went to work for Chrysler. Frank  was born in Detroit.   After Chrysler, Dale went to work for Blue Cross. 
     Dale loves to garden and spend summer vacations in the Smith home in Portland NY.
