To use PC TRAVEL & ENTERTAINMENT V3.1 (PCT V3.1), you need to download PCT_V310.ZIP, which contains the program and the data for one city (San Francisco).  To get the data for other cities, see list below.  Data files contain cost-comparisons and star-ratings of the best hotels, restaurants, and attractions for the business and leisure traveler;  includes car rental rates.

To get the best-buy advice on ALL city data files, you must download PCT_BEST.ZIP

The "best-buy" of all, however, is to register with The TravelData Company 1-800-635-9777 (have Visa, MC, or Amex card # ready) and get the most current program and ALL the cities and best buy data, plus a six-month update, for only $49.95 + $4.50 shipping and handling.

There are a total of 11 files available for you to download. The name and  contents of each are:

After unzipping one of those 11 data files, you will find some files with the file extension TD

The files with the TD extension are data files. For example, the file named  HOTELS18.TD  is the data file for Detroit hotels.

The data file names have the following meaning:
