      * SELL Professional Bancorp (AMEX: MDB).  Today I sold all 400 shares
        at 10 1/8.  I had bought 200 on April 14 at 15 (see Vol.1 #38) and
	another 200 on June 11 at 12 1/2 (see Vol.1 #57).

   The DESI-3 timing indicator is giving a RED light for August 7.


Discussion:  Professional Bancorp

   Professional Bancorp reported earnings today, and they were a big
disappointment.  After 3 consecutive quarters of triple-digit earnings gains
($.50 +194%, $.34 +278%, and $1.37 +448%), I was expecting another strong
quarter.  I was wrong.  The news today is that Professional earned 4 cents a
share in the quarter ended June 30, 1992, down from 21 cents in the same
quarter of 1991.
