Ken Deen's THE AGGRESSIVE TRADER(tm) "Seeking double-digit profits in one to four months" SELL ALERT 1339 Virginia Rd. Vol. 1, No. 82 Montecito, CA 93108 September 10, 1992 (805) 565-2039 1:45am EDT CompuServe: 72020,2050 Stock+Options Account: No trades Stock-Only Account (formerly "Model Portfolio"): * SELL Clearly Canadian Beverage Corp. (NASDAQ: CLDCF). This morning I will sell all 500 shares. I had bought these shares on May 12 at 18 (see Vol.1 #47). Yesterday the stock closed at 13 3/4. DESI Trading System(tm): No trades The DESI-3(tm) timing indicator has been mostly green since Vol.1 #80: Aug. 26: RED Sep. 1: GREEN Sep. 8: GREEN Aug. 27: RED Sep. 2: GREEN Sep. 9: GREEN Aug. 28: GREEN Sep. 3: GREEN Sep. 10: RED Aug. 31: RED Sep. 4: GREEN Sell Clearly Canadian Beverage Corp. ------------------------------------ I am cutting my loss on Clearly Canadian because: * The company recently announced that it expects 3rd quarter earnings, due to be announced Oct. 30, of 25 cents/share. This is 67% better than the year-earlier quarter, but it represents a deceleration from the triple- digit earnings growth the company had previously enjoyed. * I had been expecting a positive earnings surprise; now that the company has told me that that isn't going to happen, one of my main reasons for holding the stock is eliminated. * The stock has been weak since peaking in early March. Technically, it is still weak. The rally I had expected when I bought the stock never materialized. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Aggressive Trader(tm) is edited and published at irregular intervals, but at least monthly, by Kenneth L.
