Cooney All Rights Reserved ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Thanks for taking the time to acquire this collection of compiled PcPlus 2.01 aspect scripts for use with TW 2002. These scripts were written to automate some of the repetitious aspects that are inherent in TW2002. There is nothing in this package that will make you a smarter player. What they will do is help you to maximize the use of your online time. I wrote these scripts in the aspect language of PcPlus 2.01 for one reason and one reason only. That being.... it's the software _I_ use for my online antics. When I started writing them I had no intention what so ever of putting them together as Shareware. I wrote them to increase my own enjoyment of the game. They did that for me and I hope you will find they do the same for you. If you already have a directory you use for TW put them there. b. Copy the AUTOPLAY.KEY file into your PcPlus 2.xx directory. In order to run the AutoPlay scripts PcPlus must know where to find the files. This can be done either by switching to that directory with the ALT-F7 command when you want to run them or by putting the directory in your path statement. If you want to avoid all possible hassle, copy all the AutoPlay files into your PcPlus 2.xx directory. If you ran the install program in PcPlus the PcPlus directory should already be in your path. Section 2. Scripts run from the AutoPlay menu. All Scripts should be run with ANSI off. All Scripts can be exited with the ESC key. PAIRED PORT TRADER a. Start in one of the paired ports you want to alternate trade between. b. Have your holds full of one of the products you want to deal in. c. Know the sector number of each port. d. Know if the product you wish to buy will be the first or second product offered. You must know for each port. Bring up the AutoPlay menu with ALT-0. Use the arrow keys to select Paired Port and answer the prompts: Current Port sector? - Enter sector number of the port your in. # of Product sold? - Enter 1 to buy 1st product offered, 2 for 2nd Current Ports pair? - Enter sector number of the other port. # of Product sold? - Enter 1 to buy 1st product offered, 2 for 2nd Add to Sell (ex. .04) - Enter the percentage to add to sale price. For example .04 would add 4% to your counter offer for the product your selling. 4% usually will get you in the 98% to 99% percent of full price range. Add to Buy (ex .05) - Enter the percentage to add to buying price. .05 (5%) usually is in the 98% to 99% of full price range. The percentages can be increased up to three decimal places to try to inch closer to the full price. For example if .04 gets you 98% of full price and that's not close enough for you, start over and try .045 or .049. STEAL SELL CYCLE a. Start in a port that buys equiptment with as many holds of equiptment you want to use. b. Know how many different products the port sells, if any. c. Know a price offer the port will accept. Number of Holds: - Enter the number of holds you want to use. Your Best Offer: - Enter an amount you know will be accepted. The Script will figure 100% of the best price the port is accepting on the current cycle and use it in place of the offer you entered at the prompt. If the port is one that has multiple best prices it won't always accept the offer the first time. The script will then haggle for as high a price as it can. If the port does not kick you out or you are not busted the Script will run until there are no turns left. All scripts can be exited with the ESC key at any time. No further input is required during it's operation. a. Make sure the neccessary probes are on board. b. Have a list of sectors ready to input. Bring up the AutoPlay menu with ALT-0. If you want a record of the information gathered you can either open a log file before starting or write the scroll back buffer to a file when the script ends. The information can be reviewed online using the scroll back function built into ProComm Plus. The script answers no to the "mark as avoid prompt" if it is encountered during it's operation. You will want to review any mined sectors passed through. Section 3. The AUTOPLAY.KEY file. ALT-1 This macro turns on the computer, asks for a port display and turns off the computer.
