Run a heavy copper wire, number 10 or larger wire, from your shack and attach it to the rod with a clamp, which you can purchase when you buy the ground rod. Heavy copper strap or flashing, sold at hardware or roofing supply stores, is even better than wire. The braid from a piece of RG8 coaxial cable will also make a good ground cable.
