- An NLM on a 3.11 server (file or runtime) with NetWare for SAA installed.

- User routes host print jobs directly to any NetWare print queue, reducing
LAN traffic and providing centralized administration and control.  

- Supports LU1 or LU3 printer sessions emulating 3287 Model 2 printers.

- Uses NetWare for SAA as the communication vehicle between IBM hosts and
network printers.

- Dynamic loading, unloading, or reconfiguration of Hostprint and Netware
for SAA services without bringing down the server or affecting other
services.

RUNS AS AN NLM ON A NETWARE SERVER INSTEAD OF ON A WORKSTATION
- Simpler, faster (32 bit), and more reliable host printing and support.

- Eliminates the need for workstations dedicated to 3270 print services
thereby freeing workstation memory and CPU resources.   

- The administrator can configure all printer LUs from a single workstation
utility at the NetWare for SAA server instead of configuring individual
workstations.

- Print jobs can be managed using standard NetWare utilities, including
PCONSOLE.
