Spring Comdex, May 20, 1991 NEWS RELEASE ARTISOFT ANNOUNCES NEW CENTRAL STATION FOR LANS Provides Laptop and Printer Connections to Network (TUCSON, Ariz--May 20, 1991)--Artisoft announced today the introduction of a new multi-port hardware device for local area network communications called Central Station. It will allow a laptop and two printers to be connected anywhere on an LANtastic or Novell ethernet network running thin coax or twisted-pair ethernet cabling. Central Station is scheduled to ship by mid-August but the price has not yet been announced. Artisoft's Central Station is compatible with LANtastic or Novell ethernet networks. It offers a serial or parallel network connection for a laptop and can be attached anywhere on the network to either thin or twisted-pair ethernet cabling. Central Station has one parallel and two serial ports available for remote and/or local printing while simultaneously connecting a laptop to the network.
