The new European headquarters will be responsible for sales, marketing, fulfillment operations, technical support and training with respect to Artisoft products in the European market. Artisoft develops and manufactures a full line of hardware and software for local area networks including the LANtastic Local Area Network. The LANtastic network is recognized as the leading DOS-based peer-to-peer network and has won numerous industry awards for its cost-effective features, performance, and ease of use. It allows up to 300 users of IBM(R)-compatible computers to connect and share information and peripheral devices such as printers, hard drives and CD-ROMs. The LANtastic network and Artisoft's other connectivity products are distributed in over 70 countries worldwide. The new Artisoft European headquarters will be headed by Robert "Mac" McKinley, who has been promoted to Director of European Sales & Marketing. McKinley, who joined Artisoft in March 1991, was recently promoted to Director of North American Sales in March of this year. Prior to joining Artisoft, he was employed by CompuAdd Corporation in Austin, Texas and Computer Associates in San Jose, California.
