Installing The Client Contact System

These instruction assume that your floppy drive is a:, and that you
are installing The Client Contact System on your c: drive.  You can
install from ANY drive to any DOS partitioned hard drive. 
Simply substitute the appropriate letters for your floppy and hard
drives.

To install The Client Contact System:

1.	Insert Disk 1 into your floppy drive which these instructions 
	refer to as a:.
2.	At the DOS prompt C: type a: and press [Enter].  You should 
	now be at the a: prompt.
3.	Type install a: c: which will copy and install all the 
	distribution files onto your hard drive.
4.	If you are using a mouse, type the command to activate your 
	mouse driver.  Usually, this is c:\mouse.com or c:\mouse\mouse.com.
5.	To start The Client Contact System either type ccs at the 
	c: prompt or switch to the CCS sub-directory and type ccs or ccsgo.
6.	Once you have started The Client Contact System please make sure 
	the date is correct and press [Enter] or [Alt]-o 
	(to execute the [OK] button).  	Mouse users can click on the 
	[OK] button. 
	

Running Under Microsoft Windows

If you use Microsoft Window 3.1, you will find it beneficial to run
The Client Contact System under Windows.  Running under Windows, you
will have full mouse support and the program can be minimized so that
it is always available to you.  Included in the CCS sub-directory is a
ccs.ico icon and a ccs.pif file.  Once you start CCS in Window, you
can minimize it to an icon.  Then, when you need information you can
instantly pop up The Client Contact System by pressing [Alt]-[Shft]-C.

To create a Window's icon and setup the pif file:

1.	Start Microsoft Windows.

2.	Choose File New from Program Manager.

3.	Select Program Item and [OK].

4.	Type CCS in the Description field.

5.	Type C:\CCS\ccs.pif in the Command Line field.

6.	Type C:\CCS in the Working Directory field.

7.	Type [Alt]-[Shft]-C in the Shortcut Key field.

8.	Click on [Change Icon].  If you get a warning message click on [OK].

9.	Click on [Browse] and select ccs.ico in the c:\ccs sub-directory. 

10.	  Select [OK] to save the icon.

11.	  Select [OK] to save the new program item.

The ccs.pif file starts The Client Contact System as a window.  Press
[Alt]-[Shft]-[Enter] to toggle between a full screen and a window.
