but if you continue to use it after that, you must register.

Registration comes in two flavors:  

$29 - Basic registration for the version number you are using.

			or

$79 - Extended registration, which includes the current version
      you are using, as well as free upgrades and support for the
      duration of the edition (e.g. for version 1.x, upgrades are
      free until version 2.0 eventual is released).
