This is my summary about MPEG.

It's the fourth publication of this file. Lots of errors have been removed,
and lots of information has been added (which has surely brought other
errors with it, see Murphy's Law).

This fourth addition is VERY different to the previous ones.

First:  Some sections have been removed, because the are old or there was
        nothing changing. So if you are NOT familiar with the theme, get
        the last MPEG-FAQ's (Version 1.1 or 2.0) via ftp from

        host: ftp.cs.tu-berlin.de (130.149.17.7)

        file: /pub/msdos/windows3/graphics/mpegfa20.zip

        This new FAQ will be there soon too, as 'mpegfa30.zip'.

Second: There are sections in the FAQ about MPEG-Audio (written by
        Morten Hjerde) and MPEG-II (written by Chad Fogg).

Third : The theme of the FAQ is changing slowly from a FAQ about
        MPEG-video and the available utilities to a FAQ explaining
        what going on in the scene. Themes like MPEG-Audio, MPEG-II,
        MPEG-IV e.g will be discusses more detailed from now on.
        Everybody should nearly know what MPEG is and how to find
        and play the videos by this time. In the utility-sections
        you only find infos about the NEW programs or NEW versions
        of theme, to find a complete list of available utilities
        refer to the section WHERE TO FIND written Bryan Woodworth.

Fourth: The people where more interested to get the complete archives.
        Therefore the TRAIL-PACK-Service is still running. I'm still
        collecting EVERY info, video, sound or program.
        Get the Trail-Pack ! The Trail-Pack on floppies is CANCELED,
        because the archive is now TOO big to fit on floppies at all.

Lots of new softare arrived and lots of stuff was ported to other
platforms now.
