	BACKGROUND

	  Third-party utilities, such as PC Tools and most Norton 
	  utilities, are designed to work directly with Stacker.  
	  However, current versions of the Norton utility SAFE FORMAT 
	  do not work correctly with Stacker 3.1.  If you use SAFE 
	  FORMAT to format floppy disks, they won't be Stacker-aware.

	SOLUTION

	  Use the MS-DOS FORMAT command to format floppy disks you want 
	  to be Stacker 3.1-aware. 
  
				   IMPORTANT
	
		Do NOT use Norton SAFE FORMAT to format a floppy 
		disk you are going to use as your Stacker Startup 
		disk.
