  There are several front-end mailers available for use on DOS based
  systems.  Since the mailer is independant of the BBS and its message
  base, your choice need not be based on what BBS software you are using.

  The front-end mailer only handles communications between the nodes (and
  hubs) and does not normally import or export mail to/from the BBS.

  Unless otherwise stated, these programs do require the use of a FOSSIL
  driver.  Here is a (non-inclusive) list of DOS based mailers:

  This is a non-commercial version.  This program has a pull-down menu
  interface for both setup and daily operation.  Fidonet offers a message
  conference specifically for FrontDoor.


  FrontDoor                2.10/c              $295

  This is a commercial version.  Some features are disabled in the
  non-commercial version, but the are not substantial.  To obtain this
  version of the software, contact On-Line Communications, Bangor, Maine.


  InterMail                2.01                $99?

  This is a commercial product.  This program is very similar to
  FrontDoor.  If you are interested in this product let me know and I will
  find out more about it for you.


  BinkleyTerm              2.50                $0

  This version is free for non-commercial use, and for commercial use on
  up to three lines.  This program uses an ASCII text file for
  configuration (a text editor is required).  The source code (in C) is
  also available for this program, free of charge.  This version is
  available for download on my BBS.


  MilqueToast              1.00                $0

  This is a windows-like version of BinkleyTerm.  The intent is to have a
  windows version in the future.


  Tims                     1.00                $125

  This is a commercial product for use with TBBS.  For more information,
  contact eSoft at xxx-xxx-xxxx.


  SEAdog                   4.61                $95

  This is a commercial product.  This program also uses a text based
  config file.  This program DOES NOT require the use of a FOSSIL driver.
  Contact System Enhancement Associates, Clifton, New Jersey for more
  information.


  SEAmail                  1.20                $125

  This is a commercial product.  This program has a menu based
  configuration program, and DOES NOT require the use of a FOSSIL driver.
  This program is currently being offered at a reduced rate, the regular
  retail price is $195.  Contact SEA, Clifton, New Jersey for more info.


  D'Bridge                 1.30                $unknown

  This is a shareware product.  This program has been in beta testing for
  over 18 months and has been known to be unreliable, as well as the
  author being difficult to contact.


  Qfront                 In áeta testing       $79.00

  Qfront is a shareware product designed specifically for use with PCBoard
  14.x.  Qfront is currently still in áeta test but should be available by
  May of 1993.  Qfront is a totally 'seamless' front-end system for use
  with PCBoard.



  The following (non-inclusive list of) FOSSIL drivers are available for
  use with the mailers listed above:


  X00 v1.24      this program is free, with a suggested donation to a high
				     school local to the author.

  BNU v.170      this is a shareware program (I think).


  These lists are not intended to be complete, nor are you limited to
  using listed products.  This is merely intended to give you a head start
  on your setup.
