=========================================================== INTRODUCING R I P - N E T ! The RIP network! RIP: Remote Imaging Protocal (c)Telegrafix RIP-NET! is a network for the interchange of RIP echos and Files. It was decided that we had many RIP echos going to and from many different systems and other networks. In order to keep RIP communications focused RIP-net! was formed. What is RIP? Remote Imaging Protocal The Graphical User Interface (GUI) for BBSes. Allowing better graphics quality than the ANSI standard and allowing mouse support, without having to run a particular BBS software. If your BBS software supports RIP you can have your callers Download RIPTERM or call with one of the new communication programs that now support RIP. With these communication programs they can call any BBS using regular ANSI or the fantastic RIP protocal! What is RIP-NET! ? RIP-NET! is a network for communicating about RIP thru the use of echos as well as offering a file library of RIP screens and programs. It is a network with its own network node numbers seperate for this net only. If you have a FTS compatible mailer you can get the echos! No political red tape to cut through for feeds or gating! No massive policies to read and adhere to! How do I get a RIP-NET! node number? Simple. enclosed in the ZIP file you received is a RIP-NET! nodelist. Simply find a feed close to you and contact them! If there's nobody close to you we may be able to use your services! We might be able to establish a RIP-NET hub in your area! What if I dont' use a mailer? Simple, ask one of the local sysops to allow you to run as a point off of him/her and use an offline mail reader like OLX, or SLMR! What if I want to gate the echos? Hey, as usual...SIMPLE! Contact on of the RIP-NET! hubs and ask them to assist you in setting up as a gate! Your informaiton will be forwarded to the RIP-NET! Coordinator for insertion into the RIPNET! nodelist. We appreciate your wanting to know about RIP-NET! Please, get involved! RIP is growing! Let's help it! Disclaimers. No warranties are made! Use at your own risk!
