     What is SportsNet you say?  We are a new .QWK network on the
cutting edge of the Sports Page.

     We are here for one reason, to have a network where people from
all over the country can come, meet new people and talk about sports.
So many people have forgotten what BBS's started as a place to
communicate with others.  We would like to see BBS's get back to a
neighborly meeting place.
 
     Joining SportsNet is easy, there are no fees (we understand
SysOps put enough money into running their boards) and just an easy
information form to fill out. This can be uploaded to the host system,
(Cougar's Kingdom BBS), sent to us as an attached file to a message on
Prodigy, Compuserve or AOL, FAXED to us or sent by Snail Mail
(just kidding postmen !)  Once received, you should be ready to do
your first mail run within 24-48 hours. 

     We don't believe in "rules". We do ask all systems to follow
a few guidelines but these are just a courtesy. Please see the file
[RULES.TXT] for complete information on these.
 
     We also believe in QUALITY forums, not QUANTITY. No reason
to carry 200 forums that sit and get no traffic. We have several
forums at this time and are always interested in starting new forums
as suggested by node SysOps and the users alike.
 
     We would like to thank you for taking the time to download
this information pack and extend a welcome to you to call the host
system and see for yourself what SportsNet is all about.

     Doing this is easy:

     1. Call the host system at (716) 695-1937    

     2. Fill out [Q]uestionnaire # 4

     3. Leave the SysOp a [C]omment that you filled out the questionnaire.

     3. Type "Mainmail" at the Main Board Command

     3. Select a compression and transfer protocol using
        the [C] and [T] options.

     4. [S]elect the SportsNet network (#5).

     5. Enter     "80-99"  (without the quotes)

     6. Select the [A]ll option then [Q]uit

     7. Select [D] for download.  Cougar.qwk will be compiled for you.
