U.S. Department of Commerce Economics and Statistics Administration Office of Business Analysis (202) 482-1986 =================================================================== The ECONOMIC BULLETIN BOARD =================================================================== System Configuration and Telephone Information Last Updated: 10/07/93 ------------------------------------------------------------------- The Economic Bulletin Board operates on two 486/50 personal computers. The first PC provides access for 40 modem-based users, including all 300/1200/2400-only bps users. The second PC handles six modem users as well as 10 Internet Telnet users. Each PC has 8 megabytes of random access memory and a 340-megabyte hard disk drive. MS-DOS 6.0 is the operating system. The EBB is configured using TBBS bulletin board software, a product of the eSoft Corporation (303-699-6565). We are using version 2.2 of the TBBS software. In addition, the TDBS option module is also used for some operations on the bulletin board. Telephone access to the EBB can be done either by modem or by Telnet on the Internet. For Internet Telnet access, our Telnet address is ebb.stat-usa.gov. For dial-in service, all phone lines are in a rotary hunt group and roll over to subsequent lines whenever a busy signal is detected. If your modem does not support the V.32 protocol, it is recommended that you *only* call the 202-482-3870 number. If you are using a 9600bps modem or a 300/1200/2400 bps modem that supports V.32, it is recommended that you call either 202-482-2167 or 202-482-2584. The EBB's phone lines are equipped as follows: US Robotics' Courier 2400 modems: Line 1 202-482-3870 (primary access for 300/1200/2400 bps users) 2 -3414 3 -0433 4 -4987 5 -1506 6 -1507 7 -1510 8 -1513 9 -0418 10 -0419 11 -0446 12 -5379 13 -5451 14 -5457 15 -5458 16 -1197 17 -1258 18 -1259 19 -1291 20 -3562 US Robotics' Dual Standard HST/V.32 modems [with MNP 1-5 and V.42/V.42bis error correction]: Line 21 202-482-2167 (access point for 300/1200/2400/9600 V.32 users) 22 -3401 23 -0613 24 -3105 25 -2968 26 -1738 27 -1749 28 -2165 29 -2166 30 -1759 31 -1751 32 -1988 33 -0149 34 -0147 35 -0113 36 -0102 37 -0094 38 -0093 39 -0089 40 -0088 41 202-482-2584 (additional access point for 300/1200/2400/9600 42 -3018 bps V.32 users) 43 -3104 44 -0156 45 -1426 46 -1448
