Will use screens ending with .RIP first if user selects RIP mode. -N now creates a .RIP score file along with the normal .ANS and .ASC files. * Interface now supports expert mode for those who know the menus. Playing users can now press 'X' while in one of there games to toggle expert mode. While in expert mode no menus will be shown. * Interface now creates a better looking ANSI and ASCII score file to replace the old on created by host.exe. This is done when plntrn30.exe -n is run. * SysOp can now designate a player as a game operator and others can send mail to him as 'Game Operator' without knowing who he/she is in the game. * Game Operator can reply to mail and send mail as 'Game Operator'. * Interface now checks for multiple door drop formats including door.sys, dorinfo1.def, and callinfo.bbs. * Interface now supports multiple games. Interface can control up to nine games at once. This limit can be raised if there is need. But as of right now I have yet to see any systems running more than four games. * Registered version now allows stale packets checking. Once the player has uploaded his packet it will be checked against the current 'game' date. If the packet is stale the player will be notified so he/she can correct the problem. * You can now have up to ten free interface downloads per game. Free interface downloads can be configured to let only players or all users download each paticular file. v2.2a {no one} * Began work on a completely re-written interface program to support the added features offered by the new configuration program. v2.1a {no one} * Finish updated version of configuration program. Many new options have now been added to the configuration. Tried to make it as configurable as possible. * Configuration program now uses scrolling for easier use. v2.0 * Second Public Release v1.9b {beta testers only} * Improved several small things not worth listing. * Finally got around to remapping most of the local keyboard. Yes, that is right. Now the sysop can use commas and periods when writing a message.. * Users can now send users universally instead of just to one person at a time. This should make general announcements a hell of a lot easier. * Main.ans and Main.asc have been renames to Main1.ans and Main1.asc like the documentation for v1.0 stated. v1.8b {beta testers only} * Added reply function while viewing your private messages. * Messages are now displayed in side of a box. Lookin Pretty Nice. * Getting ready for that big 2.0 release gentlemen. Let's get all those bugs reported soon so they can be fixed. You know my phone number, report those little buggers. v1.7b {bug fix for those using v1.6b} * Players can no longer resign from a game and re-join as the same race they last played. To join a game some besides them must be the last person to play that race. * 'W'ho Played now shows an active column. Showing YES/NO in green and red depending upon whether that race is active or not. * Interface now logs when messages are written, players resign, and when someone new enters that game. Along with all that was logged before. * Fixes bug with resigning players not being removed from the interface properly. * Fixes bug with non-playing users who just resigned and are joining into current game and getting wrong game packets. v1.6b {beta testers and registered sysops} * Users are now asked if they want to read their messages instead of being forced. This prompt accepts as a valid key, defaulting to 'Y'es. * Players can now send other players private messages using the 'P'ost command. Players receiving messages have the option to save or delete messages. Messages are received during the entrance phase to the interface (between the logon message and the main menu). * Messages are saved in a file called Messages.dat. Messages are overwritten once deleted by the player. v1.5b {beta testers only} * Several key locations in the interface that ask Yes/No questions now take as an acceptable answer. * Interface now clears input buffer after transfer to get rid of any left over characters from the transfer. * Users who are not actively playing in the game can now join into any inactive slot that is not being played. This will remove the hassle of the sysop having to find an inactive player and replacing them with the new user. The new command is 'J'oin which is only available to those who are not currently in the game. v1.4b {beta testers only} * Fixed problem with interface not updating users last play date. * User now has option to resign from the game. This will flag his game account as NOT active. You can then saftely replace him with someone who wants to play with having to wait X ammount of days for his account to go inactive. * Passwords should not be allowed on game packets since another user would not be able to take over if a player resigns or defaults his game slot from inactivity. v1.3b {beta testers only} * Sysop/host now defines the maximum number of consecutive inactive days before a players account is flagged as inactive. Once inactive a you will be able to replace him with someone who wants to play. v1.2b {beta testers only} * This version requires a full reset of both .cfg files. Sorry. * Interface now keeps track of how long it has been since each player has actively played a turn. * Added number of packets that a player has uploaded since the game began to the 'W' screen. * 'W' screen now displays players empire names in Red (no d/l or u/l), Yellow (D/L only), and Green (U/L Complete). * Added the -N switch to be run every time the host program is run. This will let the interface know that a new turn has begun and reset all the pointer values. Example : host.bat > cd\bbs\interface > plantran.exe -n > cd\bbs\planets > host.exe * Removed password database to allow for further expansions. v1.1b {beta testers only} * Improved menuing system to only accept a valid character. This cuts down on spare characters caused by some zmodem programs that happen after a transfer. * Added the 'W' command that allows user to view what empire has been active in the interface since the last turn was run. * All pause commands now look the same. v1.0 * First Public Release (Official Release #1)
