Tricks.txt - Some tricks and techniques you can do in the game

1) Old Man Who?

If you ever get stuck, talk to old man Ulrira!

2) Trendy Game Timing

To collect anything, hold the B button until your crane's shadow is
in the upper left corner of the moving area (see pix A).  Then, when
the item you want is in the center of the right side, tap the A
button once.  If you did it correctly, you will get whatever was in
the middle of the right side!

VV, >>, <<, and ^^ represent the arrows on the playing field.

3) Fishin' Pond Fun

To always get the lunker at the end of the pool, when the center 
fish in the row of three runts turns left, immediately tap the 
Button.  Without touching the Control Pad, let it sink to the 
bottom until the lunker starts to move towards it. Then rapidly 
tap the Button with all your might!  Remember, the second lunker 
holds a heart piece!

4) Who Taught You To Bomb Walls?

If you poke a wall with your sword and you hear a hollow clank, you 
can break it with a bomb!

5) What A Card...

In dungeons, where there are three enemies with card suits on them,
if they all have hearts when defeated, they turn into 3 hearts!  If 
you kill them with diamonds, they turn into 3 rupees!

6) BowWow's Helpful Hints

If BowWow is standing on a Secret SeaShell, he barks "WOOF! Dig! 
RUFF!"

7) Have A Heart...Or Several!

In square P9, the owl statue says "THE WIND FISH SLUMBERS LONG...THE
HERO'S LIFE GONE...".  So to refill the hero's life (that's you), 
ram the tree behind the owl!  A faerie was hiding inside!  You can 
do this to the tree at Marin's House, and other places too!

8) Seashells, Seashells, Where'd You Get Those Seashells...

Once you have all 20 seashells (see Koholint.bmp to find out where
they are) go to SeaShell Mansion and you will get a level 2 sword!

9) Bats In Your Belfry

There are two "Batcaves" in Koholint, where bats reside in wells.
Sprinkle powder on these holes in the underground and a bat will
come out and get his revenge!  He will cast a magic spell on you
that will make you carry more Bombs, Magic Powder, or Arrows!  Oh
no!  What will you do?  Look at all that junk you have to carry!

10) A Little Bit Of Starman In Your Hookshot

Whenever your hookshot is extended, no enemy can harm you.  This is
good to escape fireballs, or invincible enemies.

11)  Enemies Are Your Friends?

If you hit some enemies with your Hookshot, they will paralyze.
You can pick up paralyzed enemies and throw them at other enemies!

12)  A Rooster For You Sir

When you get the Rooster, hold him over your head and when you are
airborne, no enemy can harm you!  Unfortunately, bombs can still
inflict damage.
