Well, I actually was able to take Alberta out to a greasy spoon from the first release - but she still thinks it is a colossal waste of time. I don't know, there is a simple joy in believing you have made a contribution even if there is no significant monetary reward. BUT I HAVE A PLAN! I'll take her south of Anchorage to the small town of Girdwood. (It is the real home of Tommy Moe for those of you who followed the Olympics) It is about a 40 minute drive along the Turnagain Arm. A beautiful drive. Mountains thrusting vertically on both sides of the ocean waters. There is a tram that goes up the mountain that is home to Alyeska ski resort. A new restaurant at the top opened this year and perhaps dessert as the sun is setting over the peaks .......
