Thanks for trying POPOUT Version 2.0. We've made a number of enhancements over Version 1.1, including the ability to read and write Targa formatted images, making it easier to generate stereograms from ray traced images. Also, we've made some additions and improvements in selecting colors for the Random and Custom Color output style RDS images. Furthermore, the registered version has the ability to generate stereogram images not of the Random Dot variety, but by tiling and distorting a background image. Because POPOUT is being distributed via a number of channels, there may not be an installation utility on this diskette or in this file. If there is, it is called INSTALL.EXE. From withing the Windows' Program Manager, click on 'File', then click on 'Run'. Type the command A:\INSTALL. Note: If you've already run the install utility, and a POPOUT Program Group has been created with a number of items, there is a possibility that none of the POPOUT files has actually been copied to your diskette. This is a problem in some systems with the way Windows caches files. If this happens, either exit then restart Windows and try it again, or else copy all of the files on the POPOUT diskette to your POPOUT install directory. This diskette contains the following files: README.TXT - This file. INSTALL.EXE - The POPOUT Install utility. INSTALL.INF - The POPOUT Install Information file. POPOUT.EXE - POPOUT Version 2.0 executable POPOUT.HLP - POPOUT Help File POPOUT.PAL - This is a Paintbrush palette file, used to redefine the Paintbrush palette to use POPOUT colors. This file has been converted from Targa to BMP so that you can view it using Paintbrush. It must first be converted to Targa to be a suitable POPOUT Source File. In it's original Targa format, it was used to create EXAMPO3.BMP and EXAMPO4.BMP. (see PLY2POP.TXT) EXAMPO1.BMP - Sample RDS Image in Black & White created by the shareware version of POPOUT.
