What's AVI files ?

                        Audio Video Interleave file.

    AVI files are actually motion pictures combining audio sound & video 
    film sequeequence together. It gives you more than FLI or GL anima-
    tions could bring. Let's make it short, AVI is actually Real Movie...

                             Why AVI not MPG ?

    MPG file is another Movie format getting popular recently, but it 
    requires hardware decoding process, which means you need to buy an
    extra hardware card to play MPG Movies, and still deal with all kinds
    of hardware IRQ, DMA conflicts...... 

    AVI to MPG is somewhat like BMP to GIF, AVI will never die because 
    it's irrelevant to harware. And Now, they actually make harware card 
    to play AVIs better than MPG (like Movie 928 card). But anyhow, for 
    AVIs, you don't need to buy an extra hardware card to watch Movies 
    under Windows.
