Legal Stuff 1.1 Distribution WallPaperer version .901 is freeware. You are free to use it in any way you like, except for modifications of the files: 1. wallpapr.exe 2. readme.txt This program may be freely distributed in its entirety by individual users. This program may be uploaded to bulletin board systems, ftp sites, newsgroups, or any network site providing access. WallPaperer is provided "as is", and you, its user assume all risks and responsibility when using it. 2. Installation Install this program by copying all the included files to whatever directory you want it in. You can place the .DLL and .vbx files into the windows system directory, but be careful that the version in your windows system directory is older than the file you are replacing it with. You need to have the file vbrun300.dll on your system. It is probably located in your windows directory or the windows system directory. This file can be obtained at almost any good bbs, at ftp.cica.indiana.edu in the directory /pub/pc/win3/util and at my site below by either ftp or through the world wide web. Create an icon for it by either dragging it from a file manager type program, or by using the new item command. 3. Operation This program was written with the purpose of allowing the easy changing of wallpaper. No lists, no timers, just to change the wallpaper. The program is a bunch of buttons and a couple of options. The buttons and options are explained as follows. Place... Pressing this button will place the upper left corner of the picture at the same place as the upper left corner of WallPaperer. This allows you to place the wallpaper when it would otherwise be centered. This also works for tiled also. Select... This allows you to select a file for wallpaper. It gives you a standard common dialog box that you should be familiar with to choose the new file for wallpaper. If there is no wallpaper currently, you will be placed in the current directory. If there is wallpaper, you will be placed in the same directory. Tiled This determines whether the wallpaper is tiled or not. As stated before, you can place tiled wallpaper. Centered This centers the wallpaper. Pressing this when the paper is positioned elsewhere will center the wallpaper. Keep This keeps whatever wallpaper setup that you currently have, and closes the program Cancel This will cancel all changes and go back to the wallpaper configuration that you had when the program began. None This results in no wallpaper. The configuration that you had for tiled, centered, and location before this program ran are reset. About This displays the about screen. It will not run on Windows 3.0, since the API calls are different. I have not tested it on any version of OS/2, but would like to hear how it works. This version .901 (don't ask) is my first release of program. More information is available by the previous url to my home page. The information is sparse now, but will become larger as I get more response. I will write a help file if response is sufficient. 6.
