h$11 set - First of many hardware autoupdate modules for PC INVENTORY (PCI).
           H$11 set contains the Main System Autoupdate modules for PCI.
           IT has the exe's for scanning the main system components and 
           filling in the hardware inventory database. These include
           pc make and model, bus type, cpu, speed, memory, ports,mouse
           floppies, hard drives and cd.
           Only registered PCI's will get autoupdated, unregistered PCI's
           will get the scan results put in h$11.log text file.


FILES: 

H$BASYS.EXE - scans system and fills hardware database with 
              PC MODEL, BUS TYPE, CPU MODEL, SPEED, and MEMORY.
              ;dos exe, usage H$BASYS from PCI directory

H$PORTX.EXE - scans com ports 1..4 and lpt 1..4 and fills hardware
              database with port information.
              ;dos exe, usage H$PORTX port x    , where
                        port = com    or    lpt   and
                        x = 1 through 4
                        e.g. H$PORTX com 2
                        issued from PCI directory
H$MOUSE.EXE - scans mouse and fills in database.
              ;dos exe, usage H$MOUSE from PCI directory

H$FLPYDR.EXE- scans floppy drives and fills database with information
              ;dos exe, usage H$FLPYDR from PCI directory

H$HRDDRV.EXE - scans hard drives and cd and fills in database
               ; dos exe, usage H$HRDDRV from PCI directory


H$11.BAT - is a batch file that executes all the above .EXE's
           and reports results in H$11.LOG text file

                        
STRATEGY AND USE: use one or a combination of modules to locally or
remotely scan a pc and autoupdate it's inventory. The resulting
records are date and time stamped.
