SO Annu Conf Australas Soc HIV Med. 1994 Nov 3-6;6:43 (unnumbered abstract). Unique Identifier : AIDSLINE ASHM6/95291878 AB The Albion Street Centre is a multidisciplinary centre for HIV/AIDS clinical management, counselling, research, prevention and education. In keeping with the holistic focus of the Centre a need was seen to respect the choices of our clients who wished to embrace lifestyle changes and interventions such as many of the Complementary Therapies offer. A resource kit was developed which contains information on diet and vitamins, exercise and stress reduction, massage, meditation and yoga, Chinese therapies, supportive expressive therapy, Homoeopathy and the names of therapists who provide these services and many more. The implementation of this Complementary Therapies Resource Manual is seen as part of the expanding role of the HIV/AIDS Registered Nurse. This has resulted in positive feedback from our clients, and an increased staff awareness.
