 AB    The Immune Restoration Think Tank meeting held February 24-26, 1995,
       discussed current and future research in the area of immune restoration.
       Immune restoration research is trying to find ways to help the immune
       system recover after it has been depleted by immunity destroying
       diseases such as AIDS. The February meeting highlighted numerous
       research efforts in immune system therapies and restoration, such as
       cryopreservation, thymic transplantation, immune-cell transplantation
       from relatives, twin studies, the use of stem cells and cells from
       animals, the use of growth hormones, and gene therapy. An underlying
       theme of this research is the importance of scientific collaboration
       between biological researchers and those who do clinical trials.
