Rather than trying to read this entire document, use the Table of Contents to determine which sections to read in detail. The patch updates the existing FTP.EXE, FTPD.EXE and DIRECTOR.EXE files. The update is performed by creating a temporary area to contain the patch files, transferring the patch files to the temporary area and executing a batch file. The update is designed to use the standard paths of \LANWP\OS2BIN for FTP.EXE and FTPD.EXE and \LANWP\BIN40 for DIRECTOR.EXE. If you have changed the path for these files, please make corresponding changes to the paths in OS2P1.CMD. Backup copies of the updated files will be created in a temporary sub-directory. However, we suggest you create a backup of the LAN WorkPlace software prior to executing the update. All Operations may be performed from an OS/2 Window or OS/2 Full Screen. 1.2 - PATCH HISTORY LO30A2.EXE supersedes OS2P1.EXE (No changes to file contents have been made, except changes to the file naming and TID format). 1.3 - FILES UPDATED NameSizeDateTimeVersion DIRECTOR.EXE13721608-20-91 4:01a4-0Ev3 4.01 FTP.EXE 7880110-21-92 5:32pR30-1U1 3.0 FTPD.EXE5404712-16-9211:36aR30-1U1 3.0 2 - PROBLEMS CORRECTED BY THIS FIX RELEASE 2.1 - (FTP.EXE) FTP.EXE had a "Divide by zero" condition that would cause FTP to halt when using MGET, MPUT, and MDELETE. This is correct for this file. 5 - BACKUP FILES Original files which were updated by this patch are backed up in the sub-directory BACKUP within the temporary directory. (\TEMP\BACKUP).
