~TL Submission Procedure for the ASP CD-ROM ~BT 95 @EWelcome to DESCRIBE, the submission processing utility for the ASP CD-ROM! Here's the quick and easy way to get your program ready for the ASP CD: @E1)@E arrange your program files just as you want them to be installed on the user's system @E2)@E have DESCRIBE and its companion files installed somewhere on your path (but not in the directory with your programs) @E3)@E run DESCRIBE and complete all the appropriate fields (including [F5] BBS Description, [F6] CD Description, and [F7] Author Information. @E4)@E use [F2] to write xxxx.DOZ @E5)@E ZIP all the files using PKZip. IMPORTANT! - ZIP files must *not* exceed 1,420,000 bytes. If your program's files exceed this limitation, make multiple ZIPs with individual files in each ZIP, and give the ZIP files similar (but not identical!) names. ie. MYPROG1.ZIP, MYPROG2.ZIP, MYPROG3.ZIP You need supply only one DOZ file for the program, and it should specify the first ZIP file in the series. (This makes it possible for vendors to make master disk sets.) @EDO NOT USE the PKZip disk spanning feature to submit your @Eprograms! If you have individual files that, when ZIPped, produce ZIP files larger than the 1,420,000 byte limit, contact us for tools and instructions. @E6)@E copy your ZIP(s) and the .DOZ file to 3 1/2" floppy(s) DO NOT put the DOZ file in your ZIP. (DOZ stands for: Data Out of ZIP.) @E7)@E Put as many programs on the submission disks as you wish, including separate ZIP/DOZ file pairs for each program. @E8)@E mail your submission to: ASP CD-ROM c/o FormGen Inc. 7641 E Gray Rd Scottsdale, AZ, 85260-3524 Alternatly, Author-Direct FDN customers may now use that service for submitting files to the ASP CD-ROM.
