PROBLEM. Easy Base fails to start with the message "Insufficient
               memory to load overlays"

If EMS is present EB will attempt to load its overlays in it. EB
requires just under 2Meg of EMS. If there is no EMS then EB will
swap its overlays from disk. If EMS is present but there is not
enough then EB may fail with the above error message.

If you get the above message you can either:-

      1. Free up more EMS if you physically have it but it has been
           assigned to another device.

      2. Rem out your EMS driver in your Config.SYS if you do not
           have enough physical EMS.

PROBLEM. Easy Base starts but will not change Data Directories.

To change data directories Easy Base requires an MS DOS or
compatible Command processor as Shell. Changing directories
may not be possible if you are running a DOS extender such as
4DOS and have customized the DIR Command.

PROBLEM. Not all files were unpacked by the install program.

This can sometimes happen if you are short of hard disk space.
Although the install program checks the available space it can
under estimate if you have a high capacity drive or are using
      a disk compression system.

PROBLEM. The executable file EB.EXE was not unpacked by the
               installation program.

You are probably running an early version of a TSR anti virus
program. Some early AV TSRs mistake the unpacking of an .Exe
file for virus activity and stop the process. In certain
circumstances this can also happen if you have Mirror.Com
loaded with the "t" option set.
