As I was getting ready to release this revision of LETTERMARKS, Lotus announced Word Pro as the successor to Ami Pro. Word Pro is scheduled to ship sometime in the summer of 1995. Details about its exact capabilities are still very sketchy, so I have no way of knowing what support it might offer for the typographical demands of international languages. I would expect many Ami Pro users to stick with what they have rather than switching right over to Word Pro, particularly if Word Pro turns out to be drastically different from Ami Pro. But for those who are unsure of which way they will go, I offer this guarantee: - If Word Pro provides capabilities equivalent to those of LETTERMARKS and you let me know within 3 months of its ship date that you have switched to Word Pro, I will refund the license fee you paid for LETTERMARKS. - If Word Pro does not provide equivalent capabilities, and unless technically infeasible, I will create a Word Pro capability equivalent to that of LETTERMARKS, distribute it as shareware, and waive the license fee for anybody who has already licensed the equivalent LETTERMARKS macro(s).
