> System Requirements:

  - 386/33 or higher processor (486DX2 recommended).
  - 4 MB of RAM. (Infinity recommended).
  - 1 MB of available hard-disk space.
  - VGA or SVGA display driver.
  - Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1 or later.
  - MS-DOS operating system version 5.0 or later.
  - Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device.
  - PGP for DOS correctly installed (PGP 2.6.2 recommended). 
    (If you don't know what PGP is or where to find it, install 
     Scytale 1.2 and read the PGP Startup Guide.)

 How to Install

  1. Scytale 1.2 requires PGP for DOS correctly installed on your hard
     drive. You can install Scytale 1.2 without PGP on your hard drive
     but you won't be able to run Scytale without PGP correctly installed.
     Scytale needs PGPPATH and TZ correctly set in your autoexec.bat and 
     "pgp.exe" located in the directory you've selected in the PGPPATH
     environment string.

  2. Scan your system for viruses. McAfee AntiVirus for Windows is a
     good program for this job. You can download it at ftp.mcafee.com,
     or at a local mirror.

  3. Run a diagnostic program such as CHKDSK or SCANDISK to make sure your
     hard drive is in good working order.  

  4. Now, to install Scytale, run the install.exe program. This program will 
     install Scytale in a directory of your choice (default of c:\scytale), 
     and create a Program Manager group and icons. (If you upgrade from 
     Scytale 1.1, install will replace old files and icons with new ones, 
     so if you want to keep Scytale 1.1, backup it in a special directory).
    
  *IMPORTANT NOTE TO WINDOWS 95 USERS*
  To allow Scytale to wipe your files correctly, don't activate the write-back
  mode of the disk caching system. This option is located in the File System
  Properties sheet in "Properties for system". (System icon in the control 
  panel.)
