        PAYKWIK uses an entirely new and efficient way to process payroll.  

It was perfected over a 15 year period by DATAPAK, INC. of Vicksburg, 

Mississippi.  DATAPAK is a small computer software development company with 

extensive computer experience with a wide variety of mainframe, mini and PC 

computers.  They have not only improved the payroll procedure, but their 

solution considers the real world computer problems of hardware and computer

speed and the need for on-line operator assistance.  


        In the event of a power or hardware failure, PAYKWIK restarts

automatically when the computer is returned to service.  It remembers where 

it was and simply restarts at that point.  Restoring of backup data from 

diskettes or tape is not required.  


        DATAPAK'S proprietary FLASH technology speeds computer processing 

by a factor of 30 times so that payroll will compute faster on a PC computer 

than it will on most mainframe computers.  When data is automatically loaded 

from a time clock or diskette, a one-hundred person payroll loads and computes 

in 3 minutes.  An on-line EXPERT SYSTEM monitors the operator actions.  POP-UP 

Windows with guidance steer the office person with little payroll knowledge

through the payroll process.  In fact, the PAYKWIK menu notes the last program

run and it points to the next program in case their is a change in operators

        PAYKWIK produces the conventional paper pay checks and reports, and 

it also prints laser checks and Electronic reports as well.  Laser checks print 

on blank paper with a full disclosure of useful payroll information, vacation 

and sick leave and a message to the employee.  Magnetic toner in the laser 

printer provides for the bank to read the bank account number on the check.

A company logo and signature(s) may be scanned with a $99 hand scanner and

automatically printed on the laser check.


        Electronic reporting is a growing government requirement.  It has been 

predicted that by the year 2000, electronic reporting will be required for

government reporting of all companies.  PAYKWIK does this now!  Employee checks 

are conventionally sent via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to the bank 

using Direct Deposit and distributed to the employee bank via the established

Automated Clearing House (ACH) system.  PAYKWIK does this and it supports

Federal Tax payments with TAXLINK, and electronic W2 and State Wage reporting. 

PAYKWIKS State Wage reporting conforms to the new standard ICESA format that 

has been accepted by 18 States as of April 1995.  Vice-President Gores' efforts 

to simplify government is effecting standardization among the States and 

PAYKWIK supports these new developments now.

        The confusing Child Support deductions and payments to the courts is

automatically produced by PAYKWIK.  The Federal government mandated that an 

option for electronic Child Support payments be made available by all States 

by October 1995.  PAYKWIK automatically produces this report and payment on 

diskette for telephone modem transmittal to the State.


        PAYKWIK has been compressed to fit on a single 3 1/2 inch diskette to 

ease on-line downloading from a NETWORK.  It takes minutes to download with a

14.4Kb modem.  A more comprehensive version, PAYKWIK-PRO adds Multi-State 

Withholding in a pay period, Job Cost, certified government payroll, table 

pay rates, Novel Networking and remote data entry.  PAYKWIK-PRO fully supports 

the 600 local tax jurisdictions found in Ohio and surrounding States.

USER Manual.
