                        ONE GONE, ONE COMING...

     It's a new year.  All the stuff that just happened has been
relegated to that bin called "Last Year".  New budgets have arrived; so
have new batches of sick leave and vacation time.
     Ruby's Pearls is in its fifth year of continuous monthly
publication--how long can we keep it up?  Longevity is rare in the
virtual world of BBSes and ftp sites.
     With a new year will undoubtedly come new complications, new
opportunities, and a lot of the same stuff we had last year.  O.J hasn't
vanished from the national radar yet, after all.
     This issue of Ruby's Pearls carries a little that ambivalence.
There's some new stuff, some blue stuff, and a little of what you're
used to from our virtuous, uh, virtual friend, Ruby D. Begonia.
