What's new in KOMSOFT 3.00?


From Ver. 2.31 to Ver. 3.00 I have made several bugfixes as well as some
improvements.

Bugfixes:

During the convertation of your comet observations KOMSOFT now fills in
blanks for the comet designation when the designation has only one or
two figures (e.g. 6P/d'Arrest). Also for the coma diameter if you have
entered 0.0 as diameter, KOMSOFT now converts it into a blank.


New features:

Functions for the database:

Now you can enter the epoch of the elements that have been entered.
The elements can be copied in the file to make some different elements
for each comet only differing in the epoch and some other parameters.
KOMSOFT gives you now the possibility to create several files of orbital
elements by searching for the name and then creating a new file.


Functions for the comet observations:

I have improved the comet informations with a field of your ICQ-observer
code. Now you can enter different ICQ-codes for observations made by your
observer group. It is also possible to create a new file for comet
observations.
KOMSOFT gives you now the possibility to create several files of comet

Functions for the ephemerides option:

The ephemeride generator now calculates the moon phase and the altitude of
the comet. Both values become stored in the file but not shown during the
calculation process.
You can now select between UT-Universal Time, Morning Twilight, Evening
Twilight and a time you can enter. It is also possible to enter a figure
how much positions should be computed.
As a new tool KOMSOFT seeks the positions of the comets for appulses with
deep-sky objects.


The configuration routine is more user friendlier and includes some new
parameters.
