Reber at Palermo (Italy) in 1913 The same list is included in LA CAMPAGNA DI GARIBALDI NELL'ITALIA MERIDIONALE (1860) (The Garibaldi's campaign in Southern Italy) published by the Italian Ministry of War at Rome in 1928 The list given by the Ministry of War was first published in the "Giornale Militare" (Military Journal) in 1864 as a result of an enquiry by a State Committee. This Committee had been created to determine, through proofs and witnesses, the names of the volunteers who actually landed at Marsala on May 11, 1860. *************************************************************************** In the source document the names are presented as in this example 28. Trailing missing fields are simply omitted.
