What's next with MicroCook? If you have used a previous version of MicroCook, you'll know that I was working on a major upgrade for MicroCook, version 2.0 for DOS. But that version has probably(?) died now. Instead there will be a MicroCook 2.0 for Windows! Both a 16-bit version for Windows 3.x, and a 32-bit version for Windows 95. When will these versions will be ready? I don't know. But I hope to get it done sometimes this year (1996). I also have a daytime job, so this evening "hobby" don't get as many hours as I sometimes want. Those that are already registered with a DOS version prior to MicroCook for Windows, will still receive the free upgrade, AND an utility to convert all the MicroCook for DOS recipes to the new Windows format. So if you have been using MicroCook for a while and "forgot" to register, now might be a good time to do so. MicroCook for Windows will be developed with Delphi from Borland. Delphi is a new visual programming environment that is much faster than Visual Basic, which was my other choice. Delphi is a Rapid Application Development (RAD) programming system, but how rapid it will be I don't know yet:) I hope that you will help me write MicroCook for Windows. I'm just the tool, but you as the user has (almost) all the say in how MicroCook for Windows should work, and also which features are important to you. So, please add your own comments and suggestions when you register via mail, or send me an e-mail, or a regular letter. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE MICROCOOK BETTER!!!
