************************************************************************** * IMPORTANT NOTE! * * This is an update of the CODEX executable for those who have already * downloaded the full CODEX program. If you already have CODEX version * 0.7 or higher, just replace the old CODEX.EXE and CODEX.HLP file with these * new ones. If not, YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE FULL PACKAGE (which includes * the Bible text) for this program to run. Without the KJV.DAT file, it * will not run! * * If you need the full version, get BIBLE_09.ZIP from any popular OS/2 * site. The file BIBLE_09.ZIP includes the Bible data and these newer * files. * ************************************************************************** Thank you for taking the time to try Codex, a full-feature Bible concordance designed specifically for OS/2 Warp! Well, almost full-featured, anyway. Our first Christian OS/2 software product was the WordWise Daily Scripture Calendar. Though it's also available for Windows, NT, DOS, Mac, Linux & Amiga, we have received proportionally more support from the OS/2 community than any other. Many of you wanted a true OS/2 concordance, and in a hurry. You asked and now we're delivering. This third release, version 0.9, sports an MDI environment, good performance, and several nice features added as well. It is not up to par with most Windows programs, though. Several people asked us to release what we had at the earliest opportunity and then offer frequent updates. This seemed like a good idea so we decided on that approach. Version 0.9 was released December 1, 1995. For the whole story, choose the menu item named "Important!" To install Codex, just unzip all of the archived files into a directory named CODEX and run the program. Nothing complicated about that. While you're at it, why not download WordWise as well? You'll find it at all the popular OS/2 sites as WW_OS215.ZIP. J. Brandon Barnes
