FontSampler is a Windows program that displays the names of all the fonts you have installed on your computer, then allows you to select from the list and display or print a sample of letters from these fonts. =================================================================== EASY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR FONTSAMPLER v1.5 =================================================================== Files included in the zipped archive (FONSAM.ZIP) are: FONTSAMP.EXE VBCTL3D.VBX README.TXT FILE_ID.DIZ VENDOR.TXT SETUP.BAT Follow these simple instructions to install FontSampler into your Windows environment. 1. Change to the subdirectory containing the FontSampler files after you have unzipped the FONSAM.ZIP file (the default is C:\FONTSAMP). Type SETUP to copy the VBCTL3D.VBX file to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM. If your Windows files are located elsewhere, you will need to move the VBCTL3D.VBX file to your Windows \SYSTEM directory manually. 2. Start Windows. 3. In the Program Manager, click once on the title bar of the group (for example, "Main") in which you wish to install FontSampler. 4. Click on the Program Manager "File" menu, then select "New." Then click on "Program Item" and click on "OK." 5. Now click on "Browse", then double-click on the "C:\" folder. Use thescroll bars to scroll down to the FONTSAMP subdirectory. Double-click on it, then double-click on FONTSAMP.EXE. Then click on "OK". 6. A FontSampler icon will appear in the program group. 7. To start and use FontSampler, double click on its icon. ==================================================================== FONT SAMPLER v1.5 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE ==================================================================== In the upper left of the program window you will see an alphabetized list of font names that FontSampler found installed on your computer. If there are more fonts than can be viewed at once, use the scroll bar on the right to scroll the list up or down. To display a sample alphabet of any font, click on the font name. You may also view Bold, Italic or Bold-Italic versions of any font by clicking on the appropriate button in the "Select Style" box below the font list. To change the size of the font display, move the scroll bar about the words "Font Size" to the right (to enlarge) or the left (to reduce) the size of the letters displayed. The font size range is 6 points to 72 points. To change the size of the FontSampler window, drag the right edge, bottom edge, or lower right corner of the window with the mouse. To maximize the FontSampler program, click the Mazimize button or double-click on the title bar. To print a sample of a font, first select the font, then select the desired size (6-72 points) and any attributes (Bold, Italic, Bold-Italic), then click on "Print" on the Main Menu or press ALT-P, then select Print Sample. To print a one-line sample of all installed fonts (approximately 50 fonts per page), click on Print All Fonts. If you have many fonts installed, please allow time for printing. PLEASE NOTE: The shareware version of FontSampler will print only 25 fonts. The registered version of the program will print all the fonts you have installed on your computer.
