*********************************************** United Airlines Boeing 727-222 V1.0 *********************************************** USAGE BAO's Flight Simulator Flight Shop is required to use this aircraft model. Copy the B7272UA1.AIR file to your FS5 \PILOTS directory. Copy all the B7272UA1.?AF files to your \TEXTURE directory. DESCRIPTION This model contains all the improvements found in V2.0 of my Eastern and Northwest B727-200 models. It represents a B727-222 in United's latest paint scheme prior to the blue/gray "stealth" scheme. The 727 has been described as flying like a Cessna Skyhawk, only bigger and faster. I have tried to capture this in the model's handling qualities, but with only limited success. It behaves well at altitude and maneuvers well on the ground. Rotate at 140kts, clean up by 180kts, and approach at 150. Watch your speed on final; if you get too low and slow you'll get behind on the power curve and have to use your "contingency" thrust to recover. There's a lot of drag in those triple-slotted flaps so expect to carry a lot of power on final. ACKNOWLEGEMENTS I would like to thank everyone who provided feedback on my previous designs (you know who you are). Your expressions of interest has encouraged me to work harder to improve on each succeeding project. I would like to specifically thank A. Vallillo and M. Schwartz for their inputs and suggestions vis-a-vis the three-holer's flight model. This model of a United B727-222 exists because of the tenacity of D. Johnson in urging me to do one. This one's for Danny. PROJECT SUMMARY To date (February 18, 1996) I have personally completed the following list of projects.
