It is included merely for your entertainment and enjoyable reference, don't fell you need to read any of this to get through the campaign: The ULA stands for the United Liberty Alliance, a band of allies fighting to sustain their sovereignty against: The RHT, or Royal House of Trebeaux, which is the family currently ruling the M‚chant Empire, which is comprised of the following provinces: Orl‚ans, D'amie, Savoir, Breston, Sanclaire, and Diligo. As one country these provinces are known as M‚chainne. The capital city is located in Sanclaire Province, and is called JeVeux. Others nations involved: Leyland: A strong, highly populated island nation northeast of the mainland where M‚chainne is located. Principal military strength lies in their Navy. Salem: Gen. Kentucky's home, one of the core nations making up the ULA. A peninsula located NNW off- shore from M‚chainne, with the neutral country of Givourney between them along with the Doflilee Sea. Massigney: A small Princedom, located south of Mechainne, near the deserts of Deodd. Deodd: A geographically large, but weak nation, comprised mostly of desert, located southeast of Massigney. This nation contains valuable oil deposits. Jeuhuenne: Located southwest of Massigney and west of Deodd, a southern nation, small, but ferocious. Put up the strongest fight during the Massigney Cross[ing] which led to the fall of all three nations to Mechainne (You will play this battle out). This nation has a few major oil deposits. Givourney: Neutral, located between Salem and Mechainne [reference the Collapse of Perechine battle]. Avons: The first nation overrun by Mechainne in one day, during the Midsummer Night's Eve campaign. Most of her troops were caught completely unprepared by the surprise offensive, but many managed to escape to Salem and other nations to fight another day for the ULA. Aistersod: A small country near the Free City of Dirle, having been spared by the RHT (as they have heavy munitions manufacturing and a decently prepared army) they have had time to heavily arm even more of their populace. They supply arms to all buyers. Dirle: A Free Independent City. With every citizen armed, as they have been throughout history, they have been spared the onslaught of the RHT, as the RHT has not as yet been able to field a significant size force anywhere near the area, needing too many troops in Orleans and other areas combatting on the ULA front. Partisans: Many Mechainne's themselves (particularly in Orleans) are fighting for the ULA and have actually managed (in the war's beginning) to seize most of that province from the RHT's armies. Principally: Kirisk, Mt. Bedford area, etc... --------------------------------------- The Provinces of Mechainne: Orleans: The northern coastal province, pretty large. Contains some major towns. D'amie: North Eastern coastal province with inland areas. Contains lots of forest, and is largely unsettled. Savoir: Borders Dirle and Aistersod, an inland province, small, but key in that this area is the only non- mountainous area stradling the Haight River, beyond which lies JeVeux, the capitol city. Breston: Eastern coastal province, South of D'Amie, with Bestonius city in it. Smaller than others. Bestonius, however, is a VERY large, important coastal city. Sanclaire: Contains the capitol city, has coastline onthe East, and is located more southerly in Machainne. Diligo: Southern province bordering Massigney and the other southern nations.
