MN2JOIN.EXE This utility can be used to combine the single-level PANIC missions for Descent II into a multi-level mission. Usage: mn2join The name of the mission is optional; "panic" is the default. MN2JOIN will scan the current directory for the files of the individual PANIC missions, starting with PANIC1.MN2 & PANIC1.HOG. As many of these as are found in sequence will be combined into PANIC.MN2 and PANIC.HOG. As you get new levels, you can re-run MN2JOIN to add new missions to your combined mission. Once you have combined your missions, you can delete the original missions, and MN2JOIN will add new levels to your combined mission. When joining a Descent II multiplayer game, the combined PANIC mission will be listed as "Panic 1-n", where "n" is the highest level in that combined mission. Players using combined missions with different numbers of levels can play together for as many levels as they have in common. For example, if Spike has "Panic 1-2" and Spam has "Panic 1-4", they can play together on levels 1 and 2. When play progresses to level 3, Spike will be kicked out. NOTE: Other players may be stuck waiting for a signal from a players no longer in the game, and will have to press ESC to either force a level start without the missing player, or to abort the game. NOTE: MN2JOIN will only combine levels in sequence. If you have PANIC1 PANIC2, and PANIC4, MN2JOIN will create a combined PANIC mission containing only levels 1 and 2. Parallax Software will also be making the combined missions available on our Web site: http://www.pxsoftware.com
