FamilyTree Version 1.0a ======================= Copyright (C) 1996 Nils Meier Permission to copy and distribute this software and its documentation for private purpose and without charging more than a nominal fee for copying is hereby granted, provided that the above copyright notice appear in all copies. This software is provided "as is" without express or implied warranty. SHORT DESCRIPTION: ================== FamilyTree is a PM-32bit-multithreaded program for OS/2 3.x. You can graphically edit a family tree with related persons. You can add persons to a family tree and enter their properties, have a look at their ancestors and descendants and investigate relationships. Everyone who is related to you can be put in the same family tree (even distant relatives). Working is done by pointing with the mouse and opening context-menus via a right-mouse-click. I'm providing my own family tree NILS.FAM as an example. Refer to online help (F1) for more information about this program. This program is not finished, it has to be viewed as "under construction". There are missing some dialogs and the ability to print a familytree. It is not clear what functionality has to be in the final version so feel free to take part in the development. INSTALLATION: ============= Unpack the file FTREE10.ZIP into the wanted directory on your hard disk. Use the program INSTALL.CMD to create a FamilyTree program object on the desktop and initialize language specific DLL+HLP. Make sure your CONFIG.SYS contains something similar like this: LIBPATH=.;remaining pathinstruction FamilyTree was written and tested on OS/2 3.0 with VAC++ 3.0.
