Engines Distribution Policy 18 February 1996 (C) Yves Roumazeilles ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Should you include one of the Engines (the YGrep Search Engine or the BitList Engine) in one of your application, here are (in short) the conditions you should follow: - Get a fully registered version of the distributed Engine. See the *.HLP or the ORDER.TXT file for the directions to follow. Remember that you should get either the appropriate number of licenses or a "developper kit" which along with additional documentation provides a license for unlimited number of copies. - Add a copyright notice to your application stating: YGrep Search Engine Copyright (c) 1992-93-94-95-96 Yves Roumazeilles BitList Engine Copyright (c) 1994-95-96 Yves Roumazeilles or: Parts Copyright (c) 1992-93-94-95-96 Yves Roumazeilles - If your application is a Windows application, you can bundle the following files with your application: YGREP.DLL YGREP.HLP BITLIST.DLL BITLIST.HLP YGREP.TXT BITLIST.TXT CLUSTER.TXT any other file is not to be included in the application without my written consent. They are intended for your development phase only. - If your application is an MS-DOS application, you can bundle the following files with your application: YGREP.HLP BITLIST.HLP YGREP.TXT BITLIST.TXT CLUSTER.TXT any other file is not to be included in the application without my written consent. They are intended for your development phase only. You can avoid including the *.HLP files which could be of little use in an MS-DOS application and are rather programmer-oriented. But, you are authorized to provide them. - None of the Engine files included in your package is modified in any way. If you need customized Engines, please, contact me. - You are invited to show how the user can get a copy of the BitList Engine. You could add such information in your application on-line help file. But this is not compulsory (your typical user may never be interested in it and may be dismayed by such a pointer).
